SOUTH SHORE HOSPITAL PRATT 6 & CRITICAL CARE

Inventive solutions to creating patient spaces.

This renovation project added two stories to the hospital’s Messina Building totaling 46,775 SF and fully renovated Pratt 6, the former ICU, on the hospital’s main campus, creating 24 intermediate care beds. The new fifth floor provided a new critical care platform with 24 ICU beds and all the required support spaces. As part of the addition, a new passenger elevator was built in the current Emergency Department providing access to the new 4th and 5th floors. This project also included the installation of two new 800 kw emergency generators.
