BETH ISRAEL LAHEY MEDICAL CENTER
The scope of services for this renovation included programming, design, construction management, and oversight of medical equipment vendors and maintenance, to support budget and schedule tracking. The Radiation Oncology clinic at the Burlington campus had a total project cost of $42M, including the installation of 2 new Varian Edge linear accelerators, 1 Philips Big Bore CT, and a new Varian HDR suite. The procedure rooms required extensive planning for additional medical equipment, including a respiratory gait scanner (RGSC), Varian Identify systems, and an Elekta mobile imaging ring. In addition to the procedure rooms, the clinic expanded to 10 patient rooms, a new lobby, reception, break room, administrative offices, holding PACU bays, and outpatient entry. The new entry required construction directly adjacent to the active Emergency Department entrance and helideck pad. The project was completed in December 2024.
