Owner’s Representatives
Expanding a university’s footprint or enhancing a company’s physical plant requires expert planning, coordination and relentless oversight. Every facet of a project must be under constant scrutiny.
The job of the owner’s representative is to protect and strengthen the owner’s position as the apex of a complex pyramid of stakeholders. CSL does both by augmenting an owner’s existing skill set with significant expertise, time and resources. We operate exclusively from the vantage point of the owner, serving as consultant and watchdog throughout the life of the project.
For example, CSL owner’s representatives evaluate and make recommendations based on our knowledge of architecture, engineering and business. We negotiate contracts, adjust budgets, and solve problems. Our suggestions and changes often improve the process and reduce costs. Our personal oversight of construction sites keeps project schedules on track.
The success of the owner’s representative role – and the success of a project – hinges on developing a trust-based, collaborative relationship with the owner. Such relationships form the cornerstone of the CSL brand.
